4. A Real Example of Value Through Tax Review
A current example of how the detailed analysis provided a financial benefit for an individual is based on a review of their tax returns. My background and experience as a CPA has helped broaden my effectiveness as a Wealth Advisor as it relates to the financial planning process. On examining their 2024 tax return, I noticed they were providing consulting services as an LLC. In addition, their tax return reflected social security taxes paid on all their net income from the LLC. I asked if their LLC had filed the S-Corporation election when it was established back in 2022.
5. Delivering Tangible Financial Results
The individual said they had not filed Form 2553 to qualify as an S-Corporation. Realizing the late classification could provide relief under Rev. Procedure 2009-41 for up to three years and 75 days, we immediately filed Form 8832 along with Form 2553 for the Entity Classification Election as an S-Corp.
We then coordinated with one of the CPA firms we work with to amend the individual’s returns for 2022 through 2024. This resulted in a sizable return for the individual. While the above example is one of many our disciplined process has uncovered for clients, it represents Konza Global’s normal operational procedures in our pursuit of adding value for clients.
